Hourglass Swimming
I went swimming in sand. Not in real life, in my mind.
I am still swimming, around and around
Slowly being sucked down.
This is me, swimming in an hourglass. A really big waste of time.
And someday, I’ll fall down, and that sand will pour on my head.
And then I’ll be floating up to the top,
meeting in the middle between going and gone.
