Adventures of a could-be life, don’t get me down!
Upon reading a friend’s blog about her adventures overseas and finding a list of some of the challenges and adventures she plans to have someday, I at first got a disheartening feeling of sorrow for my own un-adventurous living comparatively. That was my first mistake: compare my adventure to another person’s adventure. There is a completely different adventure in store for every person’s life so I should not compare. Second I saw her wish list, or bucket list you can call it, and I remembered at one time I had a similar list but guess what i’ve lost and forgotten all about? I had a rightful urge to write out my own bucket list again and to not limit it, but go all out and be a dreamer. Too often I find myself not dreaming, and limiting my dreams to only what I think I can achieve or what is remotely possible for me according to my circumstances. BLAH!! Help me get out of my own little box Lord! God gave me an adventurous heart because after all “the heart of God is wild” as one of my favorite books says, so why should I try to tame my own self?
Here’s my NEW bucket list; NO HOLDING BACK ALL HANDS ON DECK DREAMING RIGHT HERE:
* See the seven wonders of the world
* Go surfing, rock climbing, spelunking, sky diving, suba diving, hang gliding, tubing, zip-lining, snowboarding, kayaking, white-water rafting, sailing, cliff diving, horse back riding, and any other thing that sounds fun
